Kajero Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Kajero and vortaro.jp (the “Service”) provide an Esperanto dictionary, learning notes, pronunciation recordings, bookmarks, and synchronization. This policy applies to the Android, Windows, and online versions.
Information we handle
- On-device data: Accounts, learning notes, likes, bookmarks, learning-memory history, and recordings are initially stored in the app’s private storage.
- Online accounts: If you enable online linking, we process your display name, account identifier, salted password hash, and sync tokens. We do not store the password itself.
- Content and learning activity: We process learning notes, replies, comments, pronunciation audio, likes, bookmarks, learning-memory history, and update times.
- Technical information: We may process IP addresses, browser or device information, access times, and error logs to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and investigate failures.
Microphone and public content
The microphone is used only after you start a recording action. Kajero does not record in the background. Learning notes, comments, and audio that you publish online become public, and likes may be displayed as aggregate counts. Bookmarks, learning-memory history, and authentication information are not public.
Purposes and disclosure
We use information to provide dictionary and learning features, synchronize devices, display submissions, maintain security, and resolve failures. Kajero contains no advertising or usage-analytics SDK and we do not sell personal data. We do not disclose it to third parties except hosting and network providers needed to operate the Service, or where a valid legal request requires disclosure.
Storage, security, and deletion
Network communication uses HTTPS, and Android sync credentials are encrypted on the device. Online data is retained until you delete it or it is no longer needed to operate the Service. Account deletion removes the account and associated data from active systems. Copies in operational backups remain isolated until the normal backup rotation completes and are not used except for recovery, security, or legal obligations.
